Testimonial
"I appreciated Laura's intuitive and gentle touch. Laura listened to my words and my movement. With each session, I gained a greater sense of integration and freedom."
- Marie Riley, Hawaii, June 2008
Laura came to the Feldenkrais Method while dancing professionally in NYC. The work has made a profound impact on her dancing and life, and enabled her to recover from a serious neck and shoulder injury. She is dedicated to helping others find freedom from pain and limitations by gaining awareness of how they move.
Laura brings her extensive dance and teaching experience to her understanding of movement potential. As a dancer, she performed in NYC and nationally at prestigious venues including Lincoln Center Out-of-Doors, Works in Process at the Guggenheim Museum, Jacobs's Pillow Dance Festival, Bates Dance Festival, Wexner Center for the Arts, Joyce Soho, Symphony Space, and Portland Institute of Contemporary Art. She performed with a range of contemporary dance choreographers and companies, and was a founding member of the Tiffany Mills Company. Laura taught regularly at the Trisha Brown Studio in NYC, in addition to master classes at The Ohio State University, Hunter College, Shenandoah University, and University of Memphis. Laura also shared her love for dance and movement with young people as a teaching artist in the public schools in New York and Connecticut.
Through the Feldenkrais Method, Laura continues to fulfill her passion for movement and teaching, as she guides people in their awareness to improve their ease and joy in all that they do.
